We have some exciting possibilities developing here at Mid West Rotties, but we want to make one thing very clear from the beginning: NOTHING HAS BEEN CONFIRMED YET.
We are currently awaiting pregnancy confirmation for Morganis × Panzer as well as Heidi × Barron.
MORGANIS × PANZER
We should know within roughly 10 business days whether Morganis is carrying. If she is, we would potentially be looking at little blessings arriving around the first week of October, with their new families welcoming them home around the last week of November.
This pairing is especially meaningful to us because this would most likely be Panzer’s final litter. Panzer has been one of our staple studs ever since we took over the previous kennel, which is now known as Mid West Rotties. After years of contributing to our bloodline and family, the old boy has certainly earned his retirement.
HEIDI × BARRON
We are also awaiting confirmation with Heidi and Barron. If Heidi is carrying, we would potentially expect her little blessings around the last week of October, with families welcoming them home around the second-to-last week of December.
WHY TWO POSSIBLE LITTERS?
Those who have followed our family know that the last several years have been anything but normal for us. Our personal battle with cancer forced us to put many of our plans, including Mid West Rotties, on hold.
After returning home from the hospital with some incredibly encouraging news regarding that battle, we made the decision to allow these pairings to happen naturally when the opportunity presented itself.
These were not accidental pairings. They were intentional decisions made after receiving news that gave our family something we haven't had nearly enough of over the last few years — a little breathing room and a whole lot of hope.
But as always, Mother Nature gets the final say.
We will not use medications or extraordinary measures to push a pregnancy simply because a pairing occurred. If their bodies tell us that this isn't the right time, then it isn't the right time.
At Mid West Rotties, health will ALWAYS come before producing a litter.
So for now, we wait.
Maybe Mother Nature has a few little bear cubs headed our way this fall and winter... and maybe she has other plans. Either way, we're grateful simply to be in a position where we can look forward to possibilities like these again.
As soon as we have confirmation, we'll update everyone.
MID WEST ROTTIES
Health first. Family always.
